Tanzania Library Association is engaged in a number of activities to
promote the library and Information profession in Tanzania. TLA is currently
engaged in:
* Improving our web presence
* Sponsoring Librarians to pursue diploma courses through the Grace
Lema Foundation Scholarships
* Organising the next SCESCAL conference
* Supporting Tanzanian librarians to attend International workshops
and conferences and other networking events
* Co-coordinating a wide range of in-country training programmes
* Improving performance of the association through Institutional reforms
* Seeking partnerships and networking with other library associations
around the world
TLA invites donor agencies, book sellers, publishers, academic institutions, organisations, and any other private or public companies to sponsor any of the above mentioned events and activities.
